I'm so ready for spring!

So I'm really tired of the cold, wet, dreary days of Winter. I'm ready for spring! The sunshine! The flowers! the butterflies!

Since i don't think that is going to happen anytime soon, I decided to make my own Spring!

Here are all the supplies I used.

I started with a light green base from OPI. Then I used the Konad green to put down leaves that are on the M21 plate. I then used the different colors to make different flowers that are on the same plate. I mixed two colors to make the butterfly. The paint pen was used for the center black dots but my left hand was not nearly as steady as the right so the dots on my right hand are a little bigger. :) Finally I had to put a thin coat of the glitter on it for some sparkle then a top coat. I'm pretty happy with them.

I hope you enjoy!

New Nails!

So it was going to be nice and warm today...which it is. In honor of this occasion, I felt I should wear my springy shirt. Please see below.

Thus my nails needed to match. I used silver, black and yellow with some glitter for sparkle. I think they are pretty cute. :)

I'm gonna keep tryin new things although I'm running out of nail polish remover. This happens when I do them every other day. :)

New nails

So I thought I would try to do something a little different with the nails this week. They aren't terrible, just not something I would do often. Eh...it was worth a try. I do love the teal though. :)

My nail art fun

So back in October of 2009, while I was at the Tulsa State Fair, I found this amazing nail art system and I fell in love. I don't have the money to get a mani every week but I like having my nails look nice. I tend to have lots of fun ones as I'm far from a boring person. lol...so here are some pictures of what I have done so far.
This is one of my most recent plates. The base color is new and it's OPI's Teal the Cows Come Home. Def one of my favs.
This is also on the new plate...also one of my favorites.
My frist shot of using the new plate.
Most recent ones. Hot pink with the cow spots.
I did an accent flower on the thumbs.
My patriotic tips. They turned out pretty dang good.
My friend Carynn finally let me do full designs. Silver over her maroon.
Julie's Purple and Pink retro.
Red with black and white star tips.
By far one of my favorites. I call these my rock star nails.
Purple and polka dot tips.
black and White flowers layered over red nails. Looks like cherry blossom's almost.
very simple and classy french mani.
More game day nails.
My xmas package nails.
My red with black and white polka dot tips.
More game dail nails. blue and white retro layered over yellow nails.

This was my first attempt. What I found out is that you should not use the black nail art polish as a base. Paint splatter looked cool though.
These were my friend Joey's retro nails.

These are my friend Jasmyn's nails...one of my favorite.

My hot pink take on Jasmyn's.

Game day nails! Go TU!

I'll keep posting them as I get more creative!
